An exploration in communicative packaging for my tabi socks project. The objective to facilitate open dialogue between garment and recipient/wearer. The input is an atypical enclosure using both hand and machine-done applications, building textural and sensorial layers unique to each package.

The output varies. Creases in the vellum paper can accumulate from exchange between human hands, machinery, and movement during transit. The size and care labels sewn and inked directly onto the paper create nuanced textures. Package must be torn to access garment—will it be preserved, precisely cut, unstitched, or ripped open? In totality, an experiential performance.
